With a curious mind and endless ideas, Bex is always inventing magic tech to help herself and her friends - and some of it she does just for fun. Other than her experiments, Bex is still just a high school kid, playing baseball on the school team or drums with her band.

Bex's "fake brother" and best friend, ever since he quit the football team to stand up for her. He worries about Bex messing with magic; he doesn't think its safe, but he knows its better to help Bex when things blow up than to try to convince her to stop.
Miranda Garcia
Shy and reserved, but with rock star dreams, she's the lead singer and guitarist of Bex's band 5 Star Storm. She has the support of her very colorful and musical family, but she still manages to be the black sheep of the family, because of her love of the occult.
Q Alexander
Unapologetically himself, he's the type to cause social or political debates but also too lazy to commit to doing anything. Sometimes a member of the school basketball team, when he doesn't quit spontaneously, and the keyboardist in ex's band. He is Miranda's Best friend and her exact opposite.
Josh Macentyre
The undisputed prince of high school. He's not the best, the brightest or even the most lucky; but he has power over the teachers and the other students. He knows how to charm or manipulate a situation to get what he needs, and he has the conviction to get away with it most of the time at the expense of someone else; pretty often his sister Jenna.
Jenna Macentyre
This cheerleader has a lot more going on in her life than she likes to admit. She has a mother than never lets her feel like s he's good enough, and an older brother, Josh, that eclipses everything she does. She is both Bex's biggest nemesis and occasionally Bex's ally.
Isaac Pasternak
Once the weird kid, always the weird kid; Isaac was the one who would wear a magic hat and cape to school every day in elementary, an dnot much has changed now, except now he's paid to be a magician sometimes. More than that, he's learning his own brand of magic, just like Bex.
Topher Remes
A gifted 11 year old and very skilled with computers for a kid. To him, age is but a number, and he would hate that he needs a babysitter - if it was anyone other than Bex. He just wishes she could see him as boyfriend material and not just $8 per hour.
Lainie Terzi
Bex's baby half sister; at 3 and a half years old, she pretty much has the run of the house. She's so much younger than Bex that she practically looks up to her like a second mom - especially when her real mom tells her no and Bex doesn't.
Joey Terzi
Bex's 100% Italian father who always pokes fun at Eric for playing "American Football and not real football" Soccer. He used to play soccer when he was in high school and college, and likes to talk about it a lot. Bex makes fun of how that was a very long time ago. He has a big sense of humor, which he clearly passed on to Bex.
Lauren Terzi
She married Bex’s father 7 years ago but being a stepmother still isn’t coming easy to her or Bex. They rarely see eye to eye on anything, especially how to raise Bex’s new half sister.
Rouge Terzi
Proof that our pets choose us, Rouge is practically Bex in dog form. She's clever and vocal when things don't feel right to her. She is Lainie's protector and Bex's best pal. She never takes orders from Bex's dad and will always sit on the couch when Lauren says not to. She's a good girl.
