Catfishing

Bex has a 4 foot secret admirer who she babysits twice a month named Topher. He’s 11 years old, too smart for his own good, and thinks he’s too old for a babysitter...mentally at least. Topher knows Bex will never date an 11 year old, but he’s been doing pretty well with her online as a 16 year old named Chris. Problem is, Bex wants to meet this "Chris" in person. Topher tricks Bex into showing him some magic tech while she babysits, so he can use it to look like his fake profile. Ever heard of in person Catfishing? This kid invented it.

Magic Show

Everyone always laughed at the weird kid who wore a cape and top hat to elementary school. Things aren’t too different now in high school, except now he’s performing local magic shows. Not to mention now Bex and Miranda both think he’s cute. Q doesn’t understand that at all, and he doesn’t want them to fight. The curious thing about this weird kid is, Bex can’t tell if he’s a skilled magician, or if he’s using real magic. Could there be another real magic user at her school?

Bugaboo

The must-have toy of the year is a remake of a classic 90's toy, “Bugaboos”. They're famous for being a toy that listens and learns and will never turn off. Bex remembers having one of these back in the day so she finds it in her attic. She puts her new magic tech skills to the test and makes a few adjustments to "improve" it. Bex’s dog Rouge does not like this toy at all. The toy never seems to stay where she leaves it...and things are breaking or going missing in the house. Is this classic toy evil?

Bex’s little sister has a brand new toy; a teddy bear that tells stories. At first she thought it was lame because he couldn't actually talk; he just read the same stories over and over, so Bex made him more interesting. The trouble started when the bear began thinking for itself; making up new stories, whispering secrets to Bex’s little sister. This bear AI is making Bex nervous, but can she destroy her baby sister’s new favorite toy?

Miranda

The quiet goth girl in school, who dreams of being a rock-star, is always bullied by the other girls. Up until now, Miranda always tried to ignore them. Then one of Bex’s experiments leaves her with telekinetic powers. For the first time, she feels like she can make her bullies see what it’s like. At first it was all fun and games, but power corrupts absolutely. Bex is afraid of what Miranda might do if she can’t take the powers away.
